Drawing on survey data from 500 domestic travelers, structural equation modeling was employed to test the relationships among travel motivation, tourist trust, tourist loyalty, and continuity intention. The findings reveal that travel motivation positively influences trust, loyalty, and continuity intention. Tourist trust strengthens loyalty and directly enhances continuity intention, while loyalty emerges as the strongest predictor of sustained domestic travel behavior. Mediation analysis confirms that loyalty partially mediates the relationship between trust and continuity intention, and that trust and loyalty sequentially mediate the relationship between motivation and continuity intention. The results reconceptualize continuity intention as a relational outcome shaped by layered exchange mechanisms rather than a purely motivational response. The study contributes to tourism recovery literature by providing a mechanism based explanation of domestic tourism resilience in post crisis environments.
Sumana Suttipun Copyright (c) 2025 Sumana Suttipun https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://pkp.stpmataram.ac.id/index.php/ATS/article/view/81 Thu, 25 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Mapping the Intellectual Structure and Thematic Evolution of Women’s Empowerment Research at the Agriculture Tourism Nexus in Indonesia https://pkp.stpmataram.ac.id/index.php/ATS/article/view/82
Research on women’s empowerment at the intersection of agriculture and tourism in Indonesia has expanded across multiple disciplinary domains, yet its intellectual structure and thematic evolution remain unclear. This study maps the knowledge architecture of this interdisciplinary field using bibliometric and science mapping techniques. Drawing on indexed publications retrieved from Scopus and Web of Science, the analysis employs performance indicators, co citation networks, co word clustering, and thematic evolution analysis to identify dominant research streams and emerging trajectories. The findings reveal a fragmented but growing body of scholarship structured around three major clusters: livelihood and rural development, gendered labor and agency, and community based tourism governance. Over time, the field has shifted from descriptive case studies toward more policy oriented and sustainability driven discussions, although theoretical integration remains limited. The study contributes by clarifying intellectual foundations, identifying underexplored intersections, and outlining future research directions for advancing gender responsive development at the agriculture tourism nexus in Indonesia.
Indra Irjani Dewijanti, Putrawan Habibi Copyright (c) 2025 Indra Irjani Dewijanti, Putrawan Habibi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://pkp.stpmataram.ac.id/index.php/ATS/article/view/82 Thu, 25 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Marine Conservation Policies and Tourism Performance in Small Islands https://pkp.stpmataram.ac.id/index.php/ATS/article/view/83
This study examines how marine conservation policy intensity and environmental quality influence tourism performance and island-level income in the Gili Matra Marine Tourism Park, Indonesia. Using a twenty-year fixed effects panel (2005–2024), the analysis evaluates the effects of conservation measures, ecological conditions, regional tourism demand, and accessibility on tourist arrivals and tourism-generated revenue across three small islands. The results show that stronger conservation policies and higher environmental quality significantly increase both arrivals and income, demonstrating that ecological governance functions as an economic asset rather than a constraint. Robustness tests with lagged and interaction models confirm the stability of these relationships and reveal complementarity between policy interventions and environmental improvements. The study contributes to theoretical debates on sustainable island tourism and provides evidence supporting Indonesia’s Blue Economy agenda. Policy recommendations highlight the importance of enforcement, ecological monitoring, transport infrastructure, and resilience planning.
Riduan Mas'ud, Husni Muhamad Rifqi, Vinson Vano Copyright (c) 2025 Riduan Mas'ud, Husni Muhamad Rifqi, Vinson Vano https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://pkp.stpmataram.ac.id/index.php/ATS/article/view/83 Thu, 25 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000
